Back to being a blacksmithing blog [Feb. 19th, 2010|04:07 pm]
Doug Ayen
Well, just went back and marked the last several non-blacksmithing posts as "friends only," and going back to making the public posts about the hobby again. I'll probably post some personal stuff, but it'll be locked.

In other news, found out yesterday there's a blade-focused hammer-in coming up in the area -- I've pre-registered and will be going vice, oh, another snowstorm or other disaster.

The web site is at http://www.baltimoreknife.com/brimstone/hammerin2010/index.htm , but the best writeup I've found so far is at http://forums.dfoggknives.com/index.php?showtopic=15796

It's only about an hour-and-a-half drive, so I'll probably just commute in.

I'm getting the urge to get back in the workshop again, which I take is a good sign. Got some billets ready for the lathe, a whole notebook of ideas and sketches, and enough tools to do the job. Time to get moving.

Hm. If I might ask, why?

Any strippers around?

Just not feeling like whining to the world about my problems, really.

Strippers? Huh?

Strippers. They are always a source of cheer and joy when I am feeling blue. I figured you might need some exposure as well. It's kind of like sunlight for a plant.

So any good bars between you and I?
