Zod update -- Pumpdown [Jul. 25th, 2011|04:11 pm]
Doug Ayen
Just got the quote from the Cryo folk: $225 to pump Zod down and NER test it. While that is more than I paid for it on ebay iirc, considering the current prices I find it quite attractive.

Over the weekend I mixed up the requested 30% bleach solution and gave Zod a good decontamination. Then this morning spattered grease on the outside. Sigh.

Since this place is about an hour drive from home, and they open at 8am, I'm hoping I can get my lazy ass up in the morning, drive over to Rockville and drop it off, and then get to work without running too late. It'll be good to have Zod back in working condition.

Sadly, mostly due to the weather and some health issues, I didn't get any real shop time in this weekend. I did greatly enjoy my lovely new AC system though.

When I first got it, a full tank would keep some liquid for almost 3 weeks. As of the last baitcon, that was down ot about 6 hours.
