Well, it was a good con, but I'm paying for it now. After dealing with a persistent cough since last Wed, on Sunday, as I was flying home, it turned into influenza. Monday through today has just been coughs, chunks, aches, and so on.

But the con was fun, even if I didn't really get to party much and had to leave early. I should do these more often -- I know I keep saying that, but it really depends on my mood as to whether I enjoy myself or not, and too often in the past I've just not had any fun at a con.

Highlights: the artist GOH was Josh Simpson, who makes some extraordinary glass "paperweights" -- in his own explanations, they are his visions of other worlds, hence his being invited to a science fiction convention. Also, his wife is an astronaut currently on the ISS, and sent a photo snapped from the ISS of the Boston area from just moments before the convention started. Way cool. http://www.joshsimpson.com

As always, it was good to meet up with friends, old and new, and to see what's going on in those circles.

Now I'm just worried that I was the carrier of con-crud this year, I hope I didn't infect anyone with this crap.

I seem to be holding steady, had a bit of a sore throat on tuesday morning but it went away.

Good to see you. I think the barfleet people are interested in someone throwing choclicon II, so it might be time for me to think about that next year. And I will need help. :-)
