Ashokan 2005 photos up [Dec. 18th, 2005|04:05 pm]
Doug Ayen
Yeah, I know it's been a while (these were taken back in Sept) but it took a bit to figure out how to get them off the cameraphone (my regular camera crapped out right as the event was beginning).

Some nice photos of swords, firey bits, and equipment.

Note that there are some .3gp files in there -- you may need do download a viewer. Videos of three smiths working on forging out an iron bloom recently smelted.

Enjoy.

other iron smelter

Doug

I know you from Early Iron.

Just a fast hi. I've just started this week with the Blog stuff. My intent is to try to archive all those long winded e-mail answers to questions I get most days via the web site (www.warehamforge.ca)

More an experiment, as I searched for 'iron smelt' and got nothing - tried 'iron bloom' and yours was the first choice that actually had anything to do with metal...

Keep the faith

Darrell
