grinding off slag [Feb. 7th, 2005|09:23 pm]
Doug Ayen
Ground off the next layer of slag and scale, looks like I'm starting to grind into the next layer of steel already. This isn't really a problem, but I need to remember to stop and brush off the slag, flux, and scale before drawing out, quite a bit of gunk got hammered into the surface of the steel, and it's going to be a pain to get out. Technique, I am reminded, is a matter of practice, practice, practice.

Will try to get into the workshop tomorrow morning before work, but I also need to get the oil changed. If I can only get to bed early enough tonight . . .

Just had a pb&j sandwhich, made with your blackberry jam. It's fabulous! Thank you!

Thanks!

Yeah, it's good stuff. I'm almost out myself; fortunately berry season is just a few months away.
